MBIT / Conectando con los 3 Cerebros

The Multiple Brain Integration Technique (mBIT) is a concept developed by Marvin Oka and Grant Soosalu.

  • mBIT is a methodology that explores the idea of multiple intelligences or "brains" within the human body, specifically referring to the head brain (cognitive processes), the heart brain (emotional intelligence), and the gut brain (intuitive and instinctive intelligence). According to mBIT, each of these "brains" has unique functions and capabilities, and they can work together harmoniously to make better decisions and enhance overall well-being.

  • The mBIT framework suggests that by aligning and integrating the intelligence of the head, heart, and gut, individuals can experience greater coherence, decision-making congruence, and improved overall functioning. The practices associated with mBIT involve techniques to communicate and synchronize the intelligence of these three "brains," allowing for more balanced and effective decision-making.

  • It's important to note that mBIT is a framework that combines findings from neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and behavioral modeling. It offers a unique perspective on human intelligence and decision-making processes, emphasizing the interconnectedness of different bodily systems.

mBraining can be used to promote emotional intelligence in preschoolers.  Their brains are just learning to identify and manage their emotions.  By teaching them to listen to their bodies,  they can develop healthy emotional habits that will serve them well throughout their lives and help them identify their emotions and respond appropriately.

Cognitive development refers to the mental processes that children use to learn, think, and reason.   Teaching preschoolers to use their hearts to empathize with others, they can develop their social skills and emotional intelligence, which can enhance their cognitive development.

Physical development refers to the growth and development of the body. By teaching preschoolers to use their guts, they can develop healthy eating and exercise habits.  We invite all children to participate in school chores, from loading the wagon, pushing and pulling the wagon, gathering wood for the fire and raking the paths around the school.
We do all this while singing in Spanish.
